The Public Finance Group is responsible for covering various municipal issuers such as state and local governments, higher education, water, electric, transportation, and other types of entities that issue tax-exempt debt.

Responsibilities as a Public Finance Analyst:
• Work with senior bankers and other firm personnel to support their day-to-day activities on assignments which include issuer presentations, Requests for Proposals and other communications
• Participate in all aspects of live transactions including processing of internal compliance requirements, due diligence, and pricing support functions
• Work closely with sales, trading and underwriting desks on active transactions in the which the firm participates including prospective issuer transactions
• Perform cash flow and financial modeling to determine issuer debt financing alternatives, new money, and refunding scenarios
• Research, analyze and present issuer financial data, legislative actions, financial forecasts, previous pricing results and other market data
• Learn DBC, TM3, and other software essentials to complete daily tasks

Qualifications:
• B.S. or B.A. with major(s) in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Minimum GPA of 3.2 or equivalent
• Prior experience in municipal finance industry preferred, by not required
• FINRA Series 7 or 52 and Series 63 license preferred, but not required
• Superior quantitative abilities and excellent written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and software including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Teams
